Aviva Work At Home Position

Aviva Institute, a distance education college for midwives, doulas, lactation and other maternal-child health professionals, is seeking an Administrative Director. You may work out of Duluth, Minnesota administrative office, or work from home, with required visits to the Duluth office several times a year.

This is a part-time position and compensation is $19-24.00 per hour, depending on experience, with the expectation of increased hours as budget allows. Responsibilities include assuring compliance with policies, procedures, rules, and obligations required for institutional accreditation, certification and authorization. You will also be responsible for adherence to institutional legal obligations such as FERPA, HIPAA, and ADA, and development of compliance policies and procedures if none exists.

Qualifications:
– A Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in field of higher education or business administration.
– Experience or specialized training in higher education highly desirable.
– Demonstrated skills in preparing written documents.
– Ability to understand and work in an academic environment focused on distance learning.
– Experience with development and implementation of policies and procedures.
– Experience with accreditation, certification, and licensing processes highly desirable.
– Experience in human resources and personnel management
– Experience in budget creation and organizational management practices.
– Ability to work independently, be self directed and highly motivated.
– Expert level in MS Word and Excel.
– Own a computer system no more than three years old, with broadband connection at home. PC only, XP or Vista.
– Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
– Experience in midwifery or related education highly desirable.
– Ability to work independently as well as work with a team.
