Canon Tech Support Job

Canon, an imaging and optical products corporation, has openings for tech support representatives to work from home.
Note: You must be able to attend part-time training for up to 8 weeks, Monday – Friday, 20 hours per work in the Chesapeake, Virginia area.

Responsibilities:
*Responsible for inbound and outbound telephone or written inquiries for customers regarding company products. Analyzes problems
with hardware and software products to identify problem area(s) and recommend possible solutions. Maintains log of problems using
CRM application so that recurring problems can be reported.
* Provides technical support to customers via telephone and written communication.
* Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action with customer callers.
* Enters call information into call tracking database.
* Assists in testing and evaluation of current and new products.
* Performs special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
In addition to a high school diploma, specialized or technical knowledge is needed which may be obtained in high school business or shop courses or by a relatively brief period of intensive post high school education. Two years’ hands on experience in a PC environment, with demonstrated knowledge of PC Operating systems such as Windows and/or MAC is required. Ability to speak English clearly is required.

Special Requirements:
Minimum Two years experience in a PC environment is preferred. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database, and programming knowledge typically obtained for work related purposes is helpful. Organizational and time management skills, analytical ability, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Excellent listening skills are also required.
