A popular tech blog is launching an exciting new site in May and looking for two experienced writers to join the team.

If you have a passion for mobile tech and digital media and want to be involved in breaking stories, covering the latest developments and making a name for yourself then this is the gig for you.

Topics covered will include, but are not limited to:

* Digital Media and Technology
* iPhone and iPad news and apps (ownership of one of these devices is essential)
* Mobile Tech & Gadgets

Responsibilities:

Write and publish 14 posts per week, consisting of:

* A minimum of 5 insightful and well-researched editorial pieces (approx 500 words)
* A minimum of 4 iPhone/iPad app reviews (apps will be supplied to you free of charge)
* Breaking news stories, trending and viral content

You will also be expected to promote your articles on Twitter, engage with readers, reply to comments as well as staying up to date with the latest news in our niche.

To be eligible you must:

* Possess excellent written English, perfect spelling and grammar and a professional style.
* Be able to source your stories, write and publish 100% independently.
* Have a strong understanding of internet and tech culture
* Have basic image editing skills (Photoshop or equivalent)
* Be reliable and able to deliver content on-time.
* Own an iPad (preferable), iPhone or 2nd Gen iPod Touch

Compensation is set at $250/month.

* Knowledge of keyboard short-cuts, such as cut-and-paste
* Ability to trouble-shoot computer glitches independently before calling for assistance
* Able to work with seven to fifteen browser windows open on desktop and can toggle between multiple windows

Work Requirements

* Legally able work in the United States
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 18 years or older
* Drug Screen, Background Check, and Credit Check
* Successful drug, background and credit check is required and contingent on job offer

Preparation Is Key
Writing my schedule out before I get started for the day is the best suggestion I can provide. Going into your day haphazardly with no goals set is a huge no-no. Go to an office supply store and purchase a planner, it’s an easy solution to holding yourself accountable for your daily tasks.

Set A Work Schedule
The best thing I ever did was set a work schedule. I had a huge problem with procrastination and completing my workload every day. Establishing a clear routine has allowed me to get more done.

Network And Get Out Of The House
Sometimes I just need a break. I get tired of sitting in the house and must get out to keep my sanity. Facebook and Meetup were great websites for me to meet other stay at home moms and dads in my area. We organize play groups and discuss new job leads and opportunities. My friends who work a traditional 9 to 5 rarely understand what I’m going through, and it’s good to have people around who share the same experiences that I do. I recommend that all work at home parents get out the house, even if it’s only to walk around the block.
