Jub Jub is a full service Web development company based in Irvine, CA. There currently have a work at home job available for a web developer. They are looking for an experienced and self-motivated developer with outstanding XHTML/CSS skills to help in building web sites for our various clients. Your primary responsibility will be to take a visual designs and create standards-compliant XHTML/CSS, and then build the site within a content management system (almost always Expression Engine) or e-commerce platform (typically Foxycart, X-cart, or Magento). The ideal candidate is able to work remotely on small teams under tight deadlines with little supervision. A computer science degree or equivalent is a plus, but experience, skill, and attention to detail are more important.
The ideal candidate will also have at least 2-3 years of professional experience and strong command of the following knowledge areas:
- Expression Engine implementation
- X/HTML, CSS, DOM, and JavaScript
- DHTML and AJAX technologies
- Mastery of web standards and cross-browser compatibility
Off-the-shelf e-commerce implementation experience (Foxycart, X-cart, Magento) and PHP and Code Igniter is a plus. This is a part-time position for 20 hours weekly.
